Some pictures of Rs 500 notes are going viral on social media, on which pictures of actor Anupam Kher have been placed instead of Mahatma Gandhi. Anupam Kher himself is surprised to see these notes. Many people are also making memes on these. At the same time, Ahmedabad Police is busy searching for the people who print these notes and cheat them. Let us tell you what this whole matter is.

You may laugh after seeing the pictures going viral on social media, but a serious crime has been committed through them. An owner of a bullion company in Ahmedabad was defrauded of Rs 1.60 crore. On the complaint of Mehul Thakkar, who runs a bullion shop in Manek Chowk area of the city, the police have registered a case against unknown people.

According to a news in Indian Express, Thakkar was told that some people wanted to buy 2100 grams of gold. The accused said that they wanted the gold to be delivered to a courier company in Navrangpura area. Thakkar’s employee reached the given address with the gold. The accused gave him a plastic cover and said that it contained Rs 1.3 crore. He asked to count the cash in the machine and till then he brings Rs 30 lakh from another shop. Saying this, both the accused took the gold and left from there. When Thakkar’s employee opened the plastic cover, fake notes containing Anupam Kher were found in it.

A case has been registered at Navrangpura police station. The Indian Express quoted Inspector AA Desai as saying, ‘The accused had prepared a complete plan to defraud the company. The courier company also turned out to be fake. No registered rent agreement has been found. He had taken the shop on rent, but the board was also fake. He told the shop owner that he would make the agreement in 1-2 days. All the notes given by him are fake.

On one hand, while Anupam Kher’s picture has been put on the note instead of Mahatma Gandhi, the spelling of Reserve Bank of India is also wrong. A slip with SBI’s seal is also visible on the bundle of notes, on which State Bank is also wrongly written. It is believed that the notes printed for the entertainment of children were used for fraud. However, even on entertainment notes there is a picture of Mahatma Gandhi. Instead of Reserve Bank of India, it has ‘Manoranjan Bank of India’ written on it. For the first time such fake notes have come to light.

Anything can happen: Anupam Kher
While sharing the video of news channel TV 9, actor Anupam Kher expressed surprise. He wrote on X, please talk! My photo instead of Gandhiji’s photo on the five hundred rupee note? Anything can happen!’
