‘When the country’s daughter is posted in Siachen, we feel proud’ – PM Modi said in Rajya Sabha
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) took part in the discussion of the motion of thanks on the President’s address on Thursday. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on the increasing participation of girls in the army, ‘I feel proud when my country’s daughter is deployed in Siachen to protect Mother Bharti.’ Speaking in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday on the motion of thanks to the President’s address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that our government has given priority to women empowerment and women’s development.
PM Modi said, ‘We launched the Beti Bachao Abhiyan. Today the number of daughters is increasing in comparison to sons in the country. The number of daughters has come on par in the sex ratio. Referring to the construction of toilets in schools, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘We worried that girls should not leave school due to lack of toilets. Separate toilets were made for girls in schools and colleges. To ensure that the education of the daughter continues, we started the Sukanya Yojana. PM Modi said that the Mudra Yojana was started so that the daughter can take a loan without guarantee to do her work when she grows up.
PM Modi said that we have opened Sainik schools for daughters. Referring to the construction of toilets in the village, PM Modi said, ‘I am proud that I have given 11 crore Izzatghar to my mothers and sisters. Our government is sensitive to the empowerment of mothers. In the Rajya Sabha, PM Modi said that the development of tribal communities was neglected for decades. We gave top priority to their welfare. The people of the country are repeatedly rejecting the Congress. People are watching them and punishing them.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that they (Congress) used to say ‘garibi hatao’, but did nothing for more than 4 decades. While we work hard to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people of the country.
