New DelhiAfter hoisting the tricolor from the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also emphasized on reforms in his address. PM Modi said that the country has seen that even after independence, the atmosphere of status quo continued for decades. We implemented big reforms on the ground. We chose the path of reforms to bring change in the lives of people. We have broken this mentality.

PM Modi said, ‘My appeal is that every department, whether it is a state government or a central government department, should do two reforms in a year and implement them on the ground. If 25 to 30 lakh reforms are done, how much change will happen. The confidence of the public will increase.’
