Who is Satnam Singh Sandhu?
Satnam Singh Sandhu’s childhood was full of difficulties. Due to his struggle-filled childhood, as he progressed in life, he became a staunch philanthropist. He laid the foundation of Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) in Landran, Mohali in 2001. After this he formed Chandigarh University in 2012. Having faced difficulties in early life, Chandigarh University Chancellor Sandhu provides financial help to lakhs of students to get quality education.
He is actively involved in large-scale community efforts to improve health and well-being and advance communal harmony through his two NGOs ‘Indian Minorities Foundation’ and New India Development (NID) Foundation. He has made a mark with his efforts for national integration domestically and has worked extensively with the Indian diaspora abroad.
