Why did Kolkata case accused Sanjay Roy start crying in front of the judge? Claimed a big conspiracy

Sanjay Roy is the main accused in the rape-murder case of a junior doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. When he was presented before the judge in court on Friday, he became emotional. He claimed that he is innocent. In fact, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) presented Sanjay Roy in a Kolkata court. During this, permission was sought for a polygraph test of the accused and suspects in the case. It is known that during a polygraph test, the help of a machine is taken while the person is answering the questions. This measures his physical reactions and it is ascertained whether he is speaking the truth or a lie.

The judge asked Sanjay Roy how he agreed to the polygraph test? According to the Times of India report, while answering this, he started crying and told the court that he was innocent. Roy said that he agreed to the test because he believed that he was innocent. The report quoted Sanjay Roy as saying, ‘I have not committed any crime. I am being framed in this. Maybe this test will prove it.’ After this, the court allowed him to undergo a polygraph test. Now the news is that the polygraph test of the main accused and 6 others in this case started on Saturday.

Attempt to suppress the case of rape and murder

It is noteworthy that the CBI told the Supreme Court on Thursday that the local police had tried to suppress the case of rape and murder of the trainee doctor. By the time the federal agency took over the investigation, the crime scene had been tampered with. There are widespread protests across the country against the murder incident. The body of the doctor was found on August 9 in Kolkata’s government RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, which had marks of serious injuries. Roy was arrested the next day in connection with this incident. The Calcutta High Court handed over the investigation of this case to the CBI on August 13. The next day the central agency took over the investigation from the Kolkata Police.
