Hezbollah has retaliated after several explosions in pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon in two days. Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has vowed to take revenge for the attacks. Nasrallah said, “The enemy will get severe and appropriate punishment from wherever it expects and from where it does not.” The Hezbollah leader vowed to retaliate against Israel and said that the enemy will be given a befitting reply. Meanwhile, Israel again attacked Beirut on Thursday through fighter jets.
The Hezbollah chief said on Thursday that the massive attacks on the group’s communication devices in Lebanon and Syria were a serious setback and that Israel had crossed a “red line”. Nasrallah claimed that the group would emerge even stronger and continue its daily attacks in northern Israel. “Hezbollah and Israeli forces carried out new attacks on the border. Israeli warplanes flew very low over Beirut and broke the sound barrier, causing birds to fly around and people in homes and offices to quickly open their windows to prevent them from breaking,” Hassan Nasrallah said in a televised speech from an undisclosed location.
Let us tell you that on Tuesday more than five thousand pagers suddenly exploded all over Lebanon, while on Wednesday the fighters’ walkie-talkies started exploding. Apart from this, the solar systems installed in the houses also blasted. At least 37 people were killed and about 3,000 people were injured in these explosions. Although Israel has not yet taken responsibility for these explosions, but it is being suspected that these attacks were carried out by it.
These attacks have come at a time when Israeli leaders have warned that they could launch a military operation against Hezbollah. Nasrallah said the group was investigating how the bombings were carried out. He said, “Yes, we have suffered a very big and serious setback.” He said, “The enemy has crossed all limits and red lines.” Along with this, he made it clear that as long as the war in Gaza continues, Hezbollah will continue its attacks on the Israeli border. He further said, “The Lebanese front will not stop until the aggression on Gaza stops.”
Earlier, speaking to Israeli soldiers on Wednesday, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that we are at the beginning of a new phase in the war – it requires courage, determination and perseverance. He made no mention of explosive devices, but praised the work of the Israeli military and security agencies, saying the results are very impressive. Galant said that after months of fighting Hamas in Gaza, the center of gravity is shifting north by diverting resources and forces.
