Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishor is now eyeing the Muslim votes, the traditional vote bank of Lalu Yadav’s party RJD. On Sunday, PK announced that his party will field at least 40 candidates from the Muslim community in the 2025 assembly elections. He said that full participation will also be given in the organization. Four to five people from the Muslim community will also be among the 25 people leading the organization. He also said that JDU, RJD and Congress all take votes from Muslims but today there are only 19 Muslim MLAs in Bihar. It seems that Prashant Kishor wants to break into RJD’s vote bank. If he succeeds in wooing Muslims, Lalu’s party will suffer a big loss. Earlier, he had announced to field women on 40 seats.
Prashant was addressing a program organized by Jan Suraj on the topic of ‘Participation of Muslims in Politics’ at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna on Sunday. He said that looking at today’s political and social situation, it can be said that the time has come to revive the ideology of Gandhi, Ambedkar, Lohia and JP. He said that you should know that with only 37 percent votes, BJP has succeeded in forming the government in Delhi three times. Whereas, there is 80 percent Hindu population in the country. This means that 40 percent Hindus have voted against BJP. Prashant Kishore told the people that I am not asking for votes from you, I am only saying that next time vote in the name of your children.

However, PK says that his fight is with the NDA parties. He has no competition with RJD. He even said that who cares about RJD. Challenging Tejashwi Yadav, he said that it is not going to make any difference whether you sit on dharna or do anything else. The results of the Lok Sabha elections have made it clear that RJD is nowhere. For thirty years, they have been the leader of Muslims and are usurping their rights. If you have the courage, then give tickets as per the population.

Prashant Kishor has announced that his party will contest elections on all 243 seats in the state. PK will announce the party on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October. Before that, on 2 October last year, he had started the Jan Suraj Padyatra from Mahatma Gandhi’s Karmabhoomi Bhitiharwa. He has done padyatra in most of the districts of Bihar.
