Chaudhary Samaj and Oraon Samaj of Farthia village of Garhwa Sadar block have decided together to make their village drug free. Along with this, dowry-free marriage should also be done. This initiative of the society has become a topic of discussion in the area these days. The people of this village want to eradicate this evil spread in the society at any cost, so that the coming generations can live their lives in a clean society and the future generations also follow the same path.

Sitting under the Peepal tree of the village, the villagers organized a meeting to reform the society. This meeting was held to give a new direction to the society. In fact, for the last several years, the people of this village had developed a bad habit of drinking and making alcohol. Its effect was now being felt on the children of these people. Seeing this, the women took a step and took cooperation from the men of the village.

In this meeting of the villagers, 12 people took an oath not to touch alcohol. Everyone took an oath that the people of the village will not touch liquor at any cost. For this, a committee was also formed which would go door to door to make people aware. The villagers have also started a campaign for dowry-free marriage.
