Xi Jinping elected General Secretary of Communist Party of China, PM Modi did not congratulate

China News: After the decision to become the President of China once again, the Prime Ministers of all the countries congratulated Xi Jinping as a courtesy greeting. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, is not among the Prime Ministers who have congratulated him.

After a dramatic change in Britain, Rishi Sunak was elected Prime Minister, who was formally congratulated by Prime Minister Modi, but the PM did not send a congratulatory message to Xi Jinping on being re-elected General Secretary of the Communist Party of China.

In such a situation many questions arise. Like… why so? Xi Jinping is the same President with whom Prime Minister Modi called India twice and organized the Informal Summit, so why not congratulate?

Talking on this matter, high sources of the government told ABP News the reason. He said, the deteriorating relations after the violent clash in Galwan Valley is the real reason for this. In fact, after the clash in Galwan, Prime Minister Modi had also closed his accounts from Wibo and other Chinese social media. Not only this, there is also a big reason behind the Prime Minister not congratulating Xi that till now there is a situation of constant tension between the two countries on the border in Galwan. In such a situation, Prime Minister Modi does not want to demoralize the Indian soldiers in any way.

External Affairs Minister clarified that…

India’s policy towards China has been clarified more than once by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. Jaishankar has made it clear many times that the situation on the border with China will decide the situation of relations between the two countries. Along with this, India had also started reviewing Chinese investment in the country. Not only this, the demand for minimizing trade relations with China has been rising continuously across the country as well.

Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi did not hold bilateral talks with Xi Jinping even during the SCO conference held in Samarkand city of Uzbekistan. After the violent clash in Galwan, till now the two leaders have not spoken to each other even once.
