Moong Dal Tikki

It can be eaten in breakfast or as a snack during the day. If you have never made moong dal tikki, then you can easily prepare it by following our method

Ingredients for Sprouts Tikki:

Moong dal, boiled and mashed, Potatoes, boiled and mashed, Onion, finely chopped, Garlic, finely chopped, Ginger, finely chopped, Coriander, finely chopped, Cumin powder, Garam masala powder, Red chilli powder, Salt to taste, Oil for frying

Method to make Sprouts Tikki:

  • First Step: First of all boil mung dal and potatoes. Now mash the mung beans well in a vessel, then peel and mash the potatoes and put them in the same vessel

  • Second step: Now grate onion, garlic, and ginger. Now heat oil in a pan. Now add garlic, ginger and fry it till it turns golden brown. After that add mashed moong dal and potatoes to the pan.

  • Third Step: Now add cumin powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder, and salt to the mixture and mix well. Also add finely chopped coriander on top.

  • Step 4: Now let the mixture cool down a bit and then shape into small tikkis. Fry the tikkis in hot oil and fry until golden brown. Serve the moong ki tikki hot and enjoy your delicious dish!
