Pea Shell Vegetable

To make this vegetable, you need about 25 green pea peels i.e. around 300 grams of green pea peels. You have to take 2 medium sized peeled potatoes. Along with this, you need 2 tablespoons oil, cumin seeds, 2 medium onions chopped, 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste, 1 tomato and all the spices used in the vegetable.

Recipe for making vegetable from pea peels

  1. First of all, remove the thin skin from the peas, just like you remove it from beans, and then wash them and cut them into pieces like beans.
  2. Now heat oil in a pan and cut the potatoes lengthwise.
  3. Add cumin and onion in oil and fry. Add chopped potatoes, salt and turmeric powder to it and fry.
  4. Now add ginger-garlic paste to it, cover and cook. When the potatoes are almost cooked, add chopped tomatoes to it.
  5. Even after adding tomatoes, let it cook for 2-3 minutes. Now add chopped peels of green peas in it.
  6. Add all the spices like coriander, red chilli and garam masala powder and salt to the vegetable.
  7. Cook it for about 5 minutes and when the peels become soft, then understand that the vegetable is ready.
  8. Now add chopped coriander and ginger to the potato and pea peel curry and serve.

Make chutney from pea peel

To make chutney from pea peels, you will need 1 cup coriander, 2 cups pea peels, 1 small onion, 1/2 inch ginger, 2-3 cloves garlic, 2 green chillies, 1 lemon, 1/2 tsp chaat masala. Need more salt.

Method of making chutney from green pea peel

  1. First of all, clean the peels of green peas from the sides and wash them thoroughly.
  2. Now boil the peels in water for 3-4 minutes and when it cools down, take it out from the water.
  3. Now put all the things together in the mixer jar and blend it well.
  4. When the chutney is ready, add lemon juice and chaat masala to it.
  5. Serve this green chutney with food, paratha or pakodas.
