Recipe for Quinoa Upma:
step 1- To prepare quinoa upma, put 1 teaspoon oil in a pan and fry 2 teaspoons of peanuts. Once the peanuts are fried, add 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon gram dal and 1 teaspoon urad dal and fry them.
Step 2- Now add 6-7 curry leaves and 2 green chillies cut lengthwise in the oil. Add 1/4 cup finely chopped onion and fry it. After some time add 1/4 cup finely chopped tomato. Now add any vegetable you like like beans, carrot, peas.
Step 3- Fry all the vegetables for about 1-2 minutes and then add 1 teaspoon ginger paste. Now add 2 teaspoons water and cover the vegetables and cook.
Step 4- Add salt to the vegetables and then add boiled quinoa to it. Add finely chopped coriander leaves, 1 spoon of fresh grated coconut on top. Now cook it on low flame for 2 minutes and serve by adding juice of half a lemon on top.
Step 5- Delicious quinoa upma is ready. You can eat it for breakfast. Quinoa is rich in fiber. Eating it helps in losing weight rapidly. Quinoa also contains lots of vitamins and minerals which help in keeping you healthy.
