How to reduce salt in your foods

Salt is such a thing that if it is less in daal and vegetable, then the food tastes bland and if it is more then no one can eat it. When it is less then people still sprinkle salt on it but when the salt is more then the whole food gets spoiled. Actually, many times while cooking, salt is added more by mistake and in such a case the whole taste of the food gets spoiled and then people do not like to eat it and the whole daal or vegetable has to be thrown away. Therefore, today we will tell you how to correct if there is more salt in the vegetable. By adopting these methods, you can easily reduce the amount of salt in the vegetable.

If your food is too salty, try this trick:

  • Potato slices: If there is excess salt in the dal or vegetable then in such a situation you should add some pieces of potato to it. Potato absorbs the salt. Take out the potato while serving the vegetable or dal.

  • Lemon juice: The sour taste of lemon can reduce the amount of salt. If excess salt is added to dal or vegetables, then instead of getting upset and throwing it away, add lemon juice because its sourness will equalize the amount of salt.

  • Curd: If there is excess salt in the vegetable, you can use curd. Add one or two spoons of curd to the vegetable and mix it well. Curd will balance the amount of salt and your vegetable will become tasty again.

  • Desi Ghee: Desi ghee also helps in reducing the amount of salt in vegetables. If the amount of chilli along with salt is too much then use desi ghee.
