Grease or wash a heavy bottomed vessel and pour the milk into it. Bring it to a boil and then reduce the flame. Let the milk boil till it reduces to almost half the quantity. When the milk is boiling, add almonds and pistachios in a small vessel. Chop them finely and keep aside. Take 2-3 tablespoons of hot milk from the vessel and pour it into a small bowl. Add saffron strands to it and leave them to soak. Stir once to avoid the milk from burning at the bottom.

Keep boiling the milk slowly, every time a layer of cream forms, slide it to the sides of the vessel and repeat the process of sticking it to the sides. Stir once again.
