First step- To make water chestnut barfi, first of all you have to put about 2-3 spoons of ghee in a pan and heat it on medium flame. After the ghee melts, add one cup of water chestnut flour in the pan and fry it well.
Second step- You have to keep stirring the flour until its color becomes golden. After this you have to add one cup of milk in the pan.
Third step- You have to keep mixing the milk in the roasted flour little by little, without adding the milk all at once. When this mixture becomes a little thick, then you have to add three-fourth cup of sugar in it.
Fourth step- After this you can also add finely chopped cashews and almonds to this mixture. To enhance the taste of barfi, you have to add one-fourth teaspoon cardamom powder to this mixture.
Fifth step- Now apply desi ghee in a plate and grease it well. Spread this mixture in the plate.
Sixth step- When this mixture cools down, you can cut it into the shape of barfi. Now your water chestnut barfi is ready to eat.
