The four-day long Chhath festival has started with Nahay-Khay. If I had bathed on 5th November then I have to bathe on 6th November i.e. today. On the day of Kharna, fasting women break their fast by eating kheer. Evening Argh will start on 7th November. On this day, in the morning, rice laddus are also made along with Thekuva for the Prasad of Chhath Mata. The fast of Chhath Mata is considered incomplete without rice laddus, hence Thekua and rice laddus are specially made during Chhath Puja. Making rice laddu is very easy. It does not take much time to make it, whereas if we talk about taste, this rice sweet gives a tough competition to the taste of dry fruits sweet. So, let us tell you how to make rice laddu at home on the day of Chhath?
Ingredients for making rice laddu:
2 cups rice, 3 cups powdered sugar, half cup ghee, dry fruits as required
Method to make rice laddu:
-
First step: First of all, to make rice laddu, soak it for two to three hours and then filter the water thoroughly. After this, dry this rice thoroughly in the sun at a clean place.
-
Second step: If the rice is even a little wet or soft, then put the pan on the gas, add rice in it and dry it thoroughly on low flame. When the rice completely dries and cools down, put it in a mixer jar and grind it coarsely.
-
Third step: Now turn on the gas and add half a cup of ghee in the pan and when the ghee becomes hot, add the ground rice and fry it. When the rice is roasted, add sugar to it. After frying, add a little water, so that the shape of laddu can be made easily. And now Chhath Prasad is ready for you in the form of Laddus.
