How to make soft bread

Making round and soft rotis like Malaya is not easy. This is an art that only a few people know. In Indian homes, a person does not get the title of a good cook unless he makes round and soft rotis. If the bread is not soft in the food plate then the mind gets upset. If you too are not able to make good roti then this article is for you. Come, let us know how to make soft and fluffy rotis?

Try these tips to make soft roti:

  • Take a trick before kneading the dough: Most people do not knead the dough before kneading it. Due to this, the husk of the flour also gets kneaded which causes the roti to become hard. Therefore, first of all take the flour through a sieve and separate the coarse part of the flour.

  • Knead the dough well: To make soft and smooth roti, it is most important that your flour should be kneaded well. If you have not kneaded the dough well then it is natural for the rotis to be hard. Therefore, to keep the roti soft for a long time, it is important to knead it with the right amount of water until it becomes soft.

Knead the dough in these ways:

  • knead dough with salt: Before kneading the flour, add a little salt to the water and mix it, after that knead the dough with that water. By doing this the rotis swell very well and do not stick to the pan. Also the rotis remain soft for a long time.

  • Knead with ice cold water: If you want the rotis to remain soft even the next day, then knead the dough with ice water. Kneading with cold water keeps the rotis soft for a longer period of time.

  • After kneading the dough, do these things: When the dough is ready, apply some refined oil or ghee on it and keep it covered for 10-15 minutes to set.

  • Do this before putting the roti on the pan: Never make roti on high flame. Roti should always be cooked on medium flame. If the pan becomes too hot, the rotis immediately stick and do not swell.
