Ingredients for making Poha Uttapam:
step 1- For this you need about half a cup of thick poha. Also take half a cup of fine semolina. To make the batter, take half a cup of water, half a cup of curd, salt, finely chopped vegetables like onion, beans, carrot, capsicum, coriander.
Recipe of Poha Uttapam:
Step 2- First of all, soak the poha in water for 5 minutes in a bowl. Now drain the water from the poha and grind it to make a paste. Now add semolina, water, curd and salt to this paste. Mix all the things well.
Step 3- Now keep this prepared poha batter aside for about 20 minutes. So that all the things swell well and mix together. Till then finely chop all the vegetables for Uttapam. You can add some salt and chilli flakes to the vegetables for taste.
Step 4- Now spread the prepared batter on the pan after applying ghee. You can keep the size of the uttapam as per your choice. Now put the topping vegetables on top and press it a little and then cover and cook.
Step 5- Put some oil on the edges of the uttapam and when it is cooked from the bottom, flip it. Cook the uttapam well from the other side as well. This will make the vegetables soft. Use oil as per your requirement.
Step 6- Cover the uttapam and cook well for about a minute so that the base gets cooked well. After cooking on both sides, take out the uttapam in a plate and serve it with coconut chutney or sauce.
