Ginger Halwa Recipe

  1. To prepare ginger pudding, you need about half a cup of grated ginger. To make halwa, take half cup of wheat flour. For sweetness, take 1/4 cup jaggery, 4 tablespoons ghee, 2 pinches turmeric and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  2. Now to make ginger halwa, you need a pan in which add ghee and keep it on the gas.
  3. Add grated ginger to it and cook. You have to cook it for about 4 minutes and then mix wheat flour.
  4. Now mix both the things and cook until the color of ginger and flour becomes golden brown.
  5. Now add turmeric, black pepper, mix it and add jaggery dissolved with water in it.
  6. By mixing all the ingredients, you can keep the halwa thick or thin as per your choice.
  7. Add some basil leaves in the halwa and eat it lukewarm and store the ginger halwa once it cools down.
  8. Heat 2 spoons of this pudding daily and eat it. This will keep your body warm and keep cold and cough away.
