Some new cars are about to be launched to compete with it.
New Delhi. New models are constantly being launched in the mid-size SUV segment in India. Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, VW and Skoda have launched their respective models in the market. Maruti Suzuki and Toyota entered the mid-size SUV segment with the Grand Vitara and the Urban Cruiser Hyrider respectively.
Both the SUVs have been developed at Toyota’s facility. Similarly, Volkswagen and Skoda launched their respective SUVs – Tigun and Kushaq in the Indian market. These SUVs directly rival the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos, both sharing the platform and engine options.

Honda has officially announced the launch of a new SUV in the country in 2023. The new model will reportedly be based on the City platform and will measure around 4.3 meters in length. The company can also use the Amazon platform. The new Honda SUV could also get a 7-seater derivative in the near future. The SUV is likely to be offered with a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre petrol with a strong hybrid technology.
American SUV maker, Jeep is all set to introduce the production version of the Avenger compact SUV in Europe and other international markets. The new model is also expected to be launched in the Indian market in 2023-24. The Avenger will be offered as a pure EV as well as ICE in the European markets.

Is preparing the third generation Duster SUV, which will reportedly be launched in 2024. The new model will go on sale in our market as well and will rival the Creta, Tigun, Seltos, Grand Vitara and others. It will be based on the new CMF-B platform. The AWD layout will continue to be offered in the new model. It is expected to be offered with a petrol engine with hybrid technology.
