87 stations of Gujarat will be equipped with hi-tech facilities, free Wi-Fi, many facilities will be available with better connectivity

New Delhi. Railway is a major means of transport in our country. Everyday crores of people travel by train. Indian Railways is also working on making trains more comfortable and developing stations from time to time to ease the travel of passengers. In such a situation, now the Indian Railways has started preparations for the rejuvenation of a total of 1275 railway stations in the country. Recently, ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ has been started for the development of railway stations. Under this plan, along with long-term thinking, the development of railway stations has been envisaged on a daily basis.

Sometime back, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told in the House that 1275 stations are being developed in the country under the recently launched ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’. In this maximum 149 stations from Uttar Pradesh, 123 from Maharashtra, 94 from West Bengal and 87 from Gujarat will be rejuvenated.

How much will the condition of the stations change
This scheme has been started for the modernization of railway stations. Under the scheme, operational areas of stations, waiting rooms, toilets, lifts / escalators, cleanliness, free Wi-Fi, kiosks for one station-one product, better passenger information system, executive lounge etc. are included. Entry will be arranged from both the ends to bring the railway station from the entire city to the center. Better facilities for the disabled, provision of ballastless tracks and roof plaza etc. will also be arranged.

These railway stations of Gujarat will be rejuvenated
A total of 87 railway stations in Gujarat will be modernised. These stations include Ahmedabad, Anand, Ankleshwar, Asarwa, Bardoli, Bhachau, Bhaktinagar, Bhanvad, Bharuch, Bhatia, Bhavnagar, Bhestan, Bhildi, Bilimora (NG), Bilimora Junction, Botad Junction, Chandlodia, Chorwad Road, Dabhoi Junction, Dahod, Dakor, Derol, Dhrangadhra, Dwarka, Gandhidham, Godhra Junction, Gondal, Hapa, Himmatnagar, Jam Jodhpur, Jamnagar, Jamwantali, Junagadh, Kalol, Kanalus Junction, Karamsad, Keshod, Khambhalia, Kim, Kosamba Junction, Lakhtar, Limbdi Limkheda, Mahmudabad and Kheda Road, Mahesana, Mahuva, Maninagar, Mithapur, Miyagam Karjan, Morbi, Nadiad, Navsari, New Bhuj, Okha, Paddhari, Palanpur, Palitana, Patan, Porbandar, Pratapnagar, Rajkot, Rajula Junction, Sabarmati (BG & MG), Sachin, Samakhiali, Sanjan, Savarkundla, Sion, Siddhpur, Sehore Junction, Somnath, Songadh, Surat, Surendranagar, Than, Udhna, Udhwada, Umargaon Road, Unjha, Uttaran, Vadodara, Vapi, Vatva, Veraval, Viramgam, Vishwamitri Junction, Wankaner is included.
