The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) says that if Aadhaar holders link their e-mail ID with Aadhaar, then they will benefit greatly. Whenever the Aadhaar number is authenticated for use anywhere, the user will get its information at the same time. Wherever Aadhaar is used, it is authenticated. Once the e-mail id is linked with Aadhaar, a message will come on the e-mail at the same time.

How to link?
UIDAI has tweeted that you will have to go to the nearest Aadhaar center to update and link your e-mail ID in the Aadhar card. Nowadays there are Aadhaar centers in almost every city. There, all the work is done including creating and updating new Aadhaar. You will get the information about your nearest Aadhaar center at https://bhuvan.nrsc.gov.in/aadhaar/.

Aadhar is 10 years old then update it
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has now advised such people to update all the details of their Aadhar card, whose unique ID was created 10 years ago and they have never updated it in this period. UIDAI has also advised Aadhaar card holders to update documents related to identity proof and address proof.

Aadhaar can be updated both online and offline. UIDAI has clarified that it is not mandatory to do so. But, it is in the interest of the Aadhaar holders. UIDAI says that to update Aadhaar online, one has to visit the MyAadhaar portal. At the same time, Aadhaar holders can also do this work by visiting the Aadhaar center.
