Ayodhya Highway: Not 6 lanes, only 4 lanes will be built, till when it will be ready, it is known

New Delhi. The construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is going on in full swing. It is expected to be inaugurated in January 2024. For better connectivity of Ayodhya with Lucknow, earlier it was planned to make Lucknow-Ayodhya Highway 6-laning. But, now the plan to make the highway 6 lanes has been put on hold. The 4 lane highway itself will now be repaired and made like new. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will start the repair work of the highway from August 2023. It is expected that this work will be completed by December.

NHAI says that the Ayodhya Highway will be remodeled even before the inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. NHAI says that if the work of making this highway six lanes is started now, then the work will be completed after three years. At present, if the work of six lanes is started, then before the inauguration of the Ram temple, the roads themselves will be opened and the devotees may have to face trouble. In view of this, the plan to make it six lane has been dropped for the time being.

four lane is enough
NHAI says that the Ayodhya highway is wide enough for the future. If more than one lakh devotees come to Ayodhya every day, then the Lucknow-Ayodhya highway is capable of withstanding this much pressure and the drivers will not face any kind of problem. For the repair of the existing highway to be completed soon, NHAI will get this work done by dividing it into sections. Lucknow to Ayodhya distance (lucknow to ayodhya distance) is 135 kilometers.

Encroachment will be removed
The state government wants that the devotees coming from all over the country and abroad to visit Ayodhya Ramlala should not face any kind of problem. To make the traffic smooth, the Ayodhya Highway will be further improved, as well as if there is any encroachment on the highway, it will also be removed. There is complete preparation to brighten the patch of about 125 km till the Ram Path being built in Ayodhya.

Earlier there was a plan to do six lanes
Last year itself, a plan was made to make Lucknow-Gorakhpur highway passing through Ayodhya from four lane to six lane. DPR has also been prepared for the widening of this 240 kilometer long highway. But the screw got stuck due to the time being built in the six lane. This work is to take three years. Devotees coming to Ayodhya could face problems due to the commencement of work on six lanes, in view of this the plan has been put on hold.
