Banks will remain closed for 10 days including second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays. As per the details shared by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the services of private and public sector banks will be restricted for a few days in the month of February. However, RBI has clearly indicated that it will not be applicable uniformly across India and will differ across states and regions. Many festivals will be celebrated in different states across the country. Hazrat Ali Jayanti, Guru Ravidas Jayanti, Lui Ngai Ni, Mahashivaratri, Losar and many more important festivals are among them. Bank holidays in February 2023 will vary by state and territory as some holidays will be considered nationwide public holidays while others will be local holidays.

Strike on 30 and 31 January
Banks will not function for two consecutive days before the budget is presented on February 1. Actually, bank employees are going to go on strike on 30th and 31st January i.e. Monday and Tuesday. The functioning of the bank branch can be affected if the bank employees go on strike.
Regarding this, the country’s largest public sector bank SBI said that the 2-day strike called by the Union Forum of Bank Unions on January 30-31 may affect the workers in their branch. Bank branch employees from all over the country are going to participate in this strike of bank employees. It would be better if the customers settle their work related to the branch beforehand.
