Right now the 7th Pay Commission is going on in the country. If the government announces the 8th Pay Commission, then there will be a big increase in the salary of government employees. If this happens, the salary of government officials from the bottom level to the top level will increase.

Pay commission comes in 10 years
Pay commission for employees is implemented after every 10 years. So far this pattern has been seen in the implementation of 5th, 6th and 7th Pay Commission. The employees had earlier estimated that the 8th Pay Commission would be set up in the year 2023 and its recommendations could be implemented in 2026.

Budget session is starting from 31 January
Significantly, this time the budget session of Parliament will start from January 31, 2023, on which day President Draupadi Murmu will address the joint sitting of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The session will have 27 sittings and will continue till April 6. The first phase of the session will be from January 31 to February 14. After a break of about a month, the second phase of the budget session will start from March 12 and will continue till April 6.
