But due to some reason, you are not able to keep fast, then you can observe fast for the whole day and take vegetarian food after worshiping Mother Goddess and aarti in the evening.

Ghatasthapana time on Chaitra Navratri

Chaitra Navratri is going to start from 22 March this year. Along with this, the Samvatsar named Pingal i.e. Hindu New Year will also start. This year in Chaitra Navratri, the vehicle of Mother will be a boat. The specialty of this Navratri is that there will be three types of Siddhi Yoga. The first Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga is March 23, March 27, March 30. Ravi Yoga will happen on March 24, March 26 and March 29. There will also be Guru Punya Yoga on the day of Ram Navami.

Offer special bhog to the Goddess during Navratri

There is a special method of offering food to the goddesses during the nine days of Navratri. Offer cow’s ghee to the goddess on the first day, sugar on the second day and milk and sweets made from milk on the third day. The fourth day of Navratri is dedicated to Maa Kushmanda, offer Malpua to her. The goddess is pleased by offering banana on Panchami and honey on Shashthi. Offering jaggery on Saptami, coconut on Ashtami and sesame seeds on Navami gives special blessings to the devotees.

Importance of Akhad Jyoti in Navratri

Akhand Jyoti has special significance in Navratri. You also light unbroken light in your house. For this, take a clay or brass lamp and always keep it on a post or track. The wick of Akhand Jyoti is always made from Raksha Sutra, for this take Raksha Sutra of 1/2 hand and make a wick and keep it in the middle of the lamp. You can put ghee, mustard or sesame oil in the lamp. Meditate on Maa Durga, Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha before lighting the lamp. If you have any wish, keep it in mind while lighting the Akhand Jyoti. Red flowers can also be kept around the lamp. Also keep in mind that Akhand Jyoti should never be extinguished, always add ghee or oil to it.

Worship like this in Chaitra Navratri

Installation of Kalash has special importance in Chaitra Navratri, so first install Kalash duly. For this, establish a Kalash on the altar made of holy soil. After that sow barley and wheat on the altar. Then, according to your power, install an earthen or copper urn methodically. Also install nine planets and Ganesh ji and place the idol of Maa Durga on the Kalash. After duly establishing the Kalash, worship the Mother Goddess Shodashopachar. After this you can recite Sri Durga Saptashati and Durga Chalisa. Apart from this, you can also worship and read the stories of different gods during the nine days of Navratri.

Girl worship is also necessary

There is special importance of worshiping girls in Chaitra Navratri. This girl worship is done on the day of Ashtami or Navami. Girls are considered to be the form of Mother Durga. In Kanya Pujan nine, seven, five, three or one girl child is made to sit as a goddess. After that blessings are taken by feeding them different types of prasad, giving donations.

Auspicious coincidence of establishment of Kalash

The coincidence of setting up the Kalash in this Navratri is very auspicious. At the time of establishment of Kalash, the planet Venus is rising, which is the factor of prosperity. In this auspicious time, worshiping the Goddess by setting up a Kalash removes the financial problems of the devotees. Along with this, it is considered good to do Kalash Sthapana Chakra in Sudarshan Muhurta during Navratri. But if you are not able to establish the Kalash in Abhijit Muhurta, then favorable benefits, auspicious and Amrit Choghadiya are also considered good. If you are not able to sit even in all these auspicious times, then establish a Kalash in Hora on any of the days of Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Follow these methods at the time of installation of Kalash

One should always use river sand to install the urn. First put barley in this sand. After that put cardamom, gangajal, paan, cloves, roli, betel nut, kalava, turmeric, sandalwood, rupee, akshat, flowers etc. in the urn. After this, while chanting ‘Om Bhumyai Namah’, place the Kalash with seven types of grains on top of the sand. Keep lighting unbroken lamps for nine days in the temple where you have installed the Kalash.

Always keep in mind the Muhurta while installing the Kalash. Never keep the mouth of the urn open. Also, if you are keeping the Kalash covered with a utensil, never leave that utensil empty, rather fill it with rice. Not only this, keep a coconut in the middle of the rice. Every day after worship, offer cloves and batashe to Mata Rani in the evening. Keep in mind that the Goddess likes red flowers very much. That’s why always offer red flowers. Don’t offer Madar, Aak, Doob and Tulsi leaves to Maa Durga.
