Ingredients for Chakli
Rice – 500 grams
Moong dal – 150 grams
Chana dal – 250 grams
Urad dal – 150 grams
Coriander Powder – 2 tbsp
Cumin Powder – 2 tbsp
Red chili powder – 2 tbsp
Butter – 2 tbsp
Oil – for frying
Salt – as per taste

how to make chakli
Chakli is very much liked as a namkeen on the occasion of Diwali. To make Chakli, first clean the rice, moong dal, urad dal and chana dal thoroughly and then soak them in separate utensils for 7-8 hours. After the prescribed time, remove their excess water with the help of a sieve and keep them all to dry. When all the four grains are dried well, put them in a pan and roast them on low flame till they become golden.
After this, grind all the things one by one with the help of a mixer or cobweb and prepare their paste. Put all the paste in a large mixing bowl and mix well. Now add some rice flour to it and knead it. After this, put this dough in the chakli making machine and make chakli on a cotton cloth or in a plate. Make chaklis from all the pastes in the same way and let them set for some time.

Now put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, add chaklis to it and deep fry them. Fry the chaklis till they turn golden brown in color from both the sides. After this take out the fried chaklis in a plate. Similarly prepare chaklis from all the flour. Tasty chaklis are ready for Diwali celebrations. After cooling down, store the chakli in an airtight container.
