Ingredients for Linseed-Sesame Chutney
Flax seeds – 1/2 cup
Sesame – 2 tbsp
Grated dry coconut – 1/2 cup
Whole coriander – 4 tsp
Whole red chili – 3-4
Curry leaves – 1/2 cup
Cumin – 2 tsp
Black pepper – 1 tsp
Peanuts – 3-4 tbsp
Asafoetida – 2-3 pinches
Black salt – 2 tsp (as per taste)
Plain salt – 1/2 tsp (as per taste)

Method for making Linseed-Sesame Chutney
To make linseed-sesame chutney full of taste and nutrition, first of all, put linseed in a pan and fry it while stirring on low flame. When the linseed starts to crackle, take it out in a bowl. After this, put curry leaves in the pan and fry them too until the leaves become dry. Take them out in a bowl and then put sesame seeds in the pan and fry them till they turn golden brown.

Now put whole coriander, whole red chilies, cumin seeds in the pan and fry them too. After roasting the spices for about 1 minute, put roasted flaxseeds in a mixing bowl and add roasted spices to it and mix. Now add roasted sesame seeds in the bowl. After this, put the grated coconut in the pan and fry them till they become light brown and take them out in a bowl.

After this add peanuts and black pepper in the pan and fry them lightly. Put these ingredients in the mixing bowl along with other ingredients and mix them. Now add black salt, plain salt and asafoetida as per taste in the bowl. After this, put all the ingredients in the mixer jar and grind them until the chutney is coarsely ground. After this, take out the linseed-sesame chutney in a vessel. Tasty linseed-sesame chutney is ready to eat. You can store it by filling it in an air tight container.
