New Delhi. In the coming days, the journey on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway will be even more pleasant. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) intends to provide more and more public facilities on this expressway called the bypass of Delhi. In the coming few months, it is expected that the facilities of petrol pumps, toilets, drinking water, hotels, restaurants and dhabas etc. will be available at 6 places on the expressway. These facilities will be provided every 25 kms.
While on the 135 kilometer long expressway, charging stations for electric vehicles are also being built at all petrol pumps. Initially, two charging points will be installed. Later their number will be increased. Not only this, the facility of mechanic will also be available at petrol pumps so that passengers can get immediate help in case of vehicle breakdown on the expressway.

3 petrol pumps will start next month
Right now three petrol pumps are running on the expressway. Three other petrol pumps have been completed. By the middle of next month i.e. April, fuel will start getting on them. To provide public facilities on the expressway, the work of making buildings for hotel-dhabas and restaurants is also going on in full swing. NHAI has instructed the companies to complete these buildings by the end of April under any circumstances.
Accessible toilets every 25 kms
According to NHAI, there will be an accessible toilet every 25 kilometers on the expressway. Along with this, there is also a plan to open a small canteen for tea and snacks. For this a proposal has been sent to the ministry. About 1.20 lakh passenger cars pass daily on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. That’s why the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways wants that public facilities should be expanded on the expressway.
Started in 2018
Eastern Peripheral Expressway is also known as KPG Expressway (Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal expressway). This expressway was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018. This 135-km, 6-lane, access-controlled highway is part of a larger Peripheral Expressway project. Which includes two highways Eastern Peripheral Expressway and Western Peripheral Expressway. These two highways are the biggest ring road of Delhi, which connects Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad to the national capital Delhi.
