Elon Musk started ‘negotiating’ on Twitter blue tick fee, questions raised on ‘intent’

Highlights

American writer Stephen King said- Fuck you, I will not give money.
Musk is ready to reduce the price to $8 instead of $20.
The motive seems to be to earn money on the pretext of getting rid of bots and trolls.

New Delhi. After buying Twitter for a huge amount, Elon Musk is now looking for ways to earn money from Twitter users. The company has now come up with a similar plan to print money. Now users will have to pay to retain their verified blue tick badges on Twitter.

Now that Elon Musk has realized that he does not have a precise plan to make money through Twitter, he is considering starting money recovery work. Different reports coming in the media claim that Twitter can now charge users $ 20 per month to maintain the blue tick. 1,650 per month according to today’s exchange. Not only this, Twitter users can also be forced to buy Twitter blue tick subscription.

So user ready to leave blue tick
Initial reactions to Elon Musk’s new company have not been pleasant. If people are forced to pay for blue ticks on Twitter, then most users are ready to give it up. Users believe that the verification process should be absolutely free, as it is now.

Interestingly, Musk is ready to reduce the price by $ 8 (Rs 661, at today’s exchange rate) instead of $ 20. In fact, Musk seems to think he wants to make some money after spending $44 billion on Twitter. If not more then less is right, but some earning should be done.

Stephen King Said- Fuck
American author Stephen King criticized the $20 fee, writing on Twitter, “$20 a month to hold my blue check? Fuck, they should pay me.”

In response, Elon Musk wrote without delay, “We need to pay the bills somehow! Twitter cannot rely solely on advertisers. What about $8?” He further replied, “I will clarify things with full logic before implementing it. This is the only way to defeat bots and trolls.”

Musk’s intentions questioned
So, basically Elon Musk thinks that paying people for a verified social media account is the only way to keep real people on the platform. If you want to remove bots and trolls, then charge a fee. Of course, it is understandable. But, when Musk says that Twitter’s revenue cannot be increased through advertising alone, then his intention is bound to be questioned. Their first goal seems to be to make money, not to get rid of bots and trolls.
