New Delhi. Good news has come on the economic front. Actually, once again there has been a record jump in the GST collection figures. The country’s GST collection has increased by 13 percent in March to more than Rs 1.60 lakh crore. In terms of GST collection, the last month of the last financial year (2022-23) has been great. This is the second biggest collection in the history of GST till date. The Finance Ministry gave this information on Saturday.
Releasing the GST collection figures for March 2023 on Saturday, the Finance Ministry said that the highest ever GST return was also submitted in this month. Prior to this, the GST collection in February was Rs 1.49 lakh crore while in January tax collection was Rs 1.57 lakh crore. The highest collection of GST was done in April 2022 to the tune of Rs 1.68 lakh crore.
