Train is the cheapest and most comfortable way to travel anywhere. But before booking a train ticket, it becomes necessary to know about the rules of the railway regarding this. Recently, the Railways has fixed the time for sitting and sleeping during the journey in the train. It has often been seen that people who are ignorant of the rules of railways often make big mistakes while traveling in the train. Due to which the people traveling with them have to face problems. There is more confusion among passengers, especially about the middle berth and the rules related to it. Due to which many times there is even a fight between the passengers. Therefore, while booking tickets in the train, it becomes necessary to know about the rules of the railway regarding the middle berth. Let us tell you that what are the rules made by the Railways regarding the middle berth for traveling in the train.
The rule is from 10 pm to 6 am
The Railways has set the rules regarding sitting and sleeping on the middle berth during the journey in the train. According to the rules of the Railways, now passengers with middle berth can sleep in their berth only from 10 pm to 6 am. It is often seen that passengers with middle berth open it as soon as the train starts. Due to which the passenger with the lower berth suffers a lot. Due to which sometimes heated arguments are also seen between co-travellers. Railways has implemented this rule only to avoid this controversy. According to railway rules, passengers with middle berth cannot do this during day time. Passengers with middle berths can be prevented from opening the berths before 10 pm and after 6 am.
Place to sit down during the day
According to the rules of the railway, the passenger traveling on the side lower berth will have to give the passenger of the side upper berth a place to sit down during the day. According to the rules of the Railways, this will happen even if two RAC passengers are already traveling in the lower berth. It has often been seen that during the journey in the train, passengers make a mutual agreement about sitting on the seat and sleeping. But sometimes some people due to ignorance become a problem for the co-travellers who travel with them. Therefore, it is always necessary for the passenger to know about the rules related to it before traveling in the train.
Do this work if the passenger does not agree
It has been seen many times that some passengers are unfamiliar with its rules during the journey in the train. Due to which sometimes the situation becomes serious. Especially during those holiday seasons, such a situation arises due to overcrowding in the train. Railways have made special rules to ensure that no such situation arises. If a passenger is adamant on opening the middle berth before or after the stipulated time, then he can be stopped from doing so. For this, passengers can complain to TTE. TTE can stop the passenger from doing so with the help of Railway Police.
