However, card companies charge a forex markup fee for making credit card payments abroad. This fee can be up to 3.5% of your transaction amount. However, there are some credit cards that charge low forex markup fees.

YES FIRST Exclusive Credit Card
There is a forex markup fee of 1.75 per cent on international transactions made through Yes First Exclusive Credit Card. Cardholders get 6 international airport lounge accesses under complimentary Priority Pass membership and 3 domestic lounge accesses per quarter for primary and add-on cardholders. The annual fee of this card is Rs 999.

Indusind Bank Legend Credit Card
There is a forex markup fee of 1.8 per cent on international transactions made through the IndusInd Bank Legend Credit Card. Through this card, 4,000 bonus reward points are available for spending Rs 6 lakh or more within a year. The one time joining fee of this card is Rs 9,999. However, the annual fee of the card is zero.

SBI Elite Credit Card
There is a forex markup fee of 1.99 per cent on international transactions through SBI Elite Credit Card. Through this card, you can access the International Airport lounge 6 times in a year. Cardholders get complimentary Trident Privilege Membership and Club Vistara Membership. The annual fee of this card is Rs 4,999.

IDFC First Select Credit Card
There is a forex markup fee of 1.99 per cent on international transactions made through IDFC First Select Credit Card. Through this card, you can access domestic airport lounge access 4 times and railway lounge access 4 times in a year. The annual fee of this card is zero.

HDFC Diners Club Black Credit Card
There is a 2% forex markup fee on international transactions made through HDFC Diners Club Black Credit Card. Users of this card get unlimited airport lounge access in India and across the world. The annual fee of this card is 10 thousand rupees.
