New Delhi. There is a big coming up related to Indian Railways. According to the information received, the Railway Ministry has taken away the right to fix the platform ticket rate from the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM). Now its authority will remain with the Ministry of Railways.
It is worth noting that in the past, the rate of platform ticket at many major stations has been increased from 30 to 50 rupees. After this it was strongly opposed by the passengers. In view of this protest, the Railway Ministry has limited this right to itself.

Platform ticket for Rs 10
Earlier, the Northern Railway had given good news to the passengers. He announced to withdraw the increased rate of platform tickets. It was told that the rate was increased to Rs 50 due to Diwali and Chhath Puja, but now platform tickets will be available for Rs 10 as before.
According to the news of Moneycontrol, in a statement, Rekha Sharma, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) of Northern Railway said that Lucknow, Varanasi, Barabanki, Ayodhya Cantt, Ayodhya Junction, Akbarpur, Shahganj, Jaunpur, Sultanpur Junction, Bareilly, Janghai, Bhadohi Platform ticket prices have become cheaper in , Pratapgarh and Unnao Junction, Rai.
Tickets still expensive in Southern Railway
The Northern Railway has, of course, reduced the platform ticket rates, but the Southern Railway has not yet withdrawn the increase in the platform ticket price at many stations including Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. The Southern Railway had increased the platform ticket prices from 10 to 20 rupees with effect from October 1 at 8 major railway stations in and around Chennai. This decision was till 31 January 2023.
