New Delhi. French automaker, Citroen will soon expand its Indian product portfolio with two new models based on the C3 hatchback. One of these will be its electric iteration (eC3) and the other will be a three-row SUV. While the Citroen eC3 is set to be launched in the coming weeks, the new Citroen 7-seater SUV is expected to hit the roads in the second half of 2023. Here we will give you information about the upcoming Citroen cars.

The bookings for the Citroen eC3 have already started for Rs.25,000. Once launched, the model will go up against the Tata Tiago EV, which is priced between Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh. The eC3 will be made available with Live and Feel variants, which will come packed with a 29.2kWh battery pack and an electric motor (57bhp/143Nm).

107 kmph top speed
It accelerates from 0 to 60 kmph in 6.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 107 kmph. There are two driving modes with the braking system – Eco and Standard. Citroen claims that the eC3 offers an ARAI-certified range of 320km on a full charge. The electric hatchback can be charged with a 3.3kWh onboard AC or DC fast charger.

compete with these cars
The new Citroen 7-seater SUV will compete with the Renault Triber. If reports are to be believed, the production-ready model will be named the Citroen C3 Aircross. However, some changes will be made to its design including the front grille, bumper and fog lamp assembly. For power, the new SUV could use the same 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engines that power the C3 hatchback.
