The Telecom Ministry has issued an advisory on Friday saying that false news of jobs in NIC is going on and the message received by the people is completely fake. The Department of Telecommunications of the IT Ministry told that do not pay attention to such messages, otherwise you can get into trouble.

According to the ministry, in the messages received by the users through SMS, it is being said that they will get vacancies in NIC and apply for jobs. This is completely baseless and cyber criminals are spreading such false message to commit financial fraud. The NIC also lodged an FIR in this regard and the search is on for the identity of the sender of the message. Along with this, the agencies related to the case have also been instructed to remove the URL of this fake message.

What is government advisory
The ministry has said in its advisory that users should not pay any attention to such a message and can send a complaint to incident@cert-in.org.in or https://cybercrime.gov.in. Earlier, when NIC got information about the message being circulated in its name regarding job offer, it recommended to issue advisory on it immediately. NIC in its internal investigation found that no such message has been issued from its infrastructure.

Taking information from telecom companies
NIC is collecting information from telecom companies to identify the originator and circulation of this fake message. The ministry has said that the telecom companies have been asked to identify the ID associated with the message and the full disclosure will be made soon. Strict action will be taken against the culprits after they are identified. For the time being, people should not respond to this fake message.
