There was a Gandharva named Lalit and an Apsara named Lalita in his court. Both loved each other very much. One day a dance music program is going on in the court. At that time, a snake god named Karkotak was also present in the meeting. Lalit was dancing at that time when he remembered his wife Lalita and made a mistake in dancing. Karkotak caught this mistake of his and told it to King Pundarik. King Pundrik got very angry on this mistake of Lalit too and he cursed Lalit to be an ugly demon. Lalit’s wife Lalita was very sad because of this and started trying to free her husband from this form. That’s why a sage asked Lalita to fast on Kamda Ekadashi. Lalita did this fast with full devotion and with the effect of this fast, her husband became a beautiful Gandharva like before after getting free from the demon vagina.
