New Bikes In India: Sports bike manufacturer Kawasaki is going to launch a new bike in India very soon to compete with Royal Enfield. This bike will be the 2023 Kawasaki Eliminator 400. This bike made in Thailand is currently being sold in many countries around the world. Now preparations are being made to launch it in India. The overseas price of the bike is around Rs 4.75 lakh. The cruiser bike is expected to be launched in India in the second half of 2023. When launched, this bike will give direct competition to Royal Enfield’s Super Meteor 650, which is currently priced at Rs 3.5 lakh, ex-showroom.

The Kawasaki Eliminator 400 is powered by a 398cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine has been tuned to produce maximum output of 46.9 bhp at 10,000rpm and peak torque of 37 Nm at 8,000rpm. It is a very powerful engine. It is expected that it will be liked like Royal Enfield.

Bike Specifications
Kawasaki Eliminator 400 gets 18-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels. The base model Eliminator weighs 176 kg, while the SE variant tips 178 kg. The bike is built around a trellis frame and gets 41 mm telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks. Braking duties are handled by a 310 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm drum brake at the rear. It also gets dual-channel ABS.

Design and Features
The design language of the Kawasaki Eliminator 400 resembles that of a classic cruiser, with a low-slung seat, long wheelbase and forward-mounted foot controls. The bike also gets a teardrop shaped fuel tank, wide handlebar and a chrome exhaust system. It looks similar to the Vulcan S cruiser motorcycle sold in many markets including India. This motorcycle is available in two variants Standard and SE in the Japanese market. The SE variant gets headlight cowl, front fork gaiters and two-tone seat as well as a USB Type-C power socket. Optional features on the Kawasaki Eliminator 400 include a low seat height, pillion grabrail, rear carrier, radiator guard, tank pad and heated grips.
