There has been an increase in the prices of gold and silver on the first trading day of the week i.e. Monday. 10 grams of gold has become costlier to Rs 52,850. At the same time, the price of one kg of silver has crossed 62 thousand. In the Delhi bullion market, gold rose by Rs 255 to reach Rs 52,850 per 10 grams on Monday. In the previous trading session, gold had closed at Rs 52,595 per 10 grams.

Retail inflation hits 3-month low
People are expected to get relief from inflation. Actually, the retail inflation rate has started decreasing in the country. Domestic Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for October 2022 has been released by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation (MoSPI) on Monday. According to the latest data, the retail inflation rate has come down to 6.77 percent in October due to lower prices of food products.

Rupee drops 48 paise to close at 81.26 per dollar
The rupee opened on a strong note at 80.53 in the Interbank Foreign Exchange market. The rupee erased early gains during the trade and finally closed at 81.26 per dollar, down 48 paise against the American currency. This shows a fall of 48 paise in the rupee as compared to the previous trading session. On Friday, the rupee improved by 62 paise to close at Rs 80.78 per dollar.
