Maruti preparing to bring another cool MPV after Ertiga, direct competition to Innova

New Delhi. Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced the Innova Hycross in the Indian market. Official bookings for this car have also started but its price will be revealed in January 2023. On the basis of this, Maruti is also bringing a new MPV.

Some changes are expected to be made in the design of the new Maruti MPV. It could get a differently designed grille, front bumper and headlamps. There could also be some special elements in the rear profile. Similar to the Innova Hycross, the 3 row MPV from Maruti Suzuki will be based on the monocoque platform and will come with a FWD (front-wheel drive) system. The interiors are expected to get a different color theme while the layout and features will be similar to the Innova Highcross.

Superior trims will offer ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) with features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert and automatic high beam. This will be the first Maruti Suzuki model to come with ADAS technology. The MPV comes packed with 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 9-speaker JBL sound system, dual zone climate control, powered driver seat with memory function, powered leg rest for second row passengers, 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring Will go.

Engine & Power
The powertrain system of the new Maruti MPV will include a 2.0-litre petrol with 172bhp, 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and Toyota’s new-gen strong hybrid unit. The mileage figure of the three-row MPV from Maruti Suzuki is expected to be similar to the Toyota Innova Hycross which delivers 21.1 kmpl (strong hybrid).
