Matar Tikki Recipe: Take help of this simple recipe to make spicy pea tikki

Ingredients to make Matar Tikki
Green peas – 2 cups
Potatoes – 3-4
Bread Powder – 1/2 cup
Ginger chopped – 1 tsp
Green chili chopped – 1
Black pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
Green coriander – 2-3 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
oil – as required
Salt – as per taste

How to make Matar Tikki
To make Matar ki Tikki, first peel the peas. After this, put water in a vessel and heat it and put peas in it and boil it. After this, take out the peas from the water and keep them in a bowl. Now boil the potatoes and then after removing the peels of the potatoes, put them in the mixing bowl and mash them well. After this, mash the peas as well and add them to the potatoes and mix them well and prepare the mixture.

Now add bread crumbs and salt as per taste to this mixture and mix well. Then put finely chopped green chillies, ginger and all the spices in the mixture and mix it properly. Finally add coriander leaves and lemon juice. The masala for matar ki tikki is ready. Now take a little bit of the masala in hand and first make a ball out of it. After that give them the shape of Tikki and keep them in a plate. Similarly make all the matar tikkis.

Take a nonstick pan/tawa and heat it on medium flame. When the tawa becomes hot, pour 1 tsp oil on it and spread it all around. After this, according to the capacity of the pan, roast the matar tikki on it. After roasting for some time, turn the tikkis over and roast them from the other side. Roast the tikkis in the same way until the tikki becomes crispy from both the sides. After this, take out the matar tikki in a plate. Similarly bake all the matar tikkis. Now serve Matar Tikki hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.
