It was increased to 30 June 2022 and a fine of Rs 500 was also imposed. The government once again extended its last date and made it March 31, 2023. This time the fine was increased to Rs 1000. Now there is 4 days left to link Aadhaar with PAN. If your PAN is not linked to Aadhaar, then you may have to face difficulties in availing many financial services.
If you do not link PAN with Aadhaar, then according to the Income Tax Department, your PAN card will be cancelled. PAN cancellation means that you will not have a valid PAN card to do any transaction above Rs 50,000 in the bank and you will not be able to do the transaction. Not only this, there are many other such financial works which cannot be done without the help of PAN card.

How to link PAN with Aadhaar
- First of all go to Income Tax website
- Enter the details of Aadhaar card there.
- Now enter the captcha code.
- After that click on link base.
- Doing so much that your Aadhaar will be linked to PAN.
- Remember that for this you will have to pay Rs 1,000.
Why is the link being done
The government says that by doing this a unique number will be linked to every PAN card. This will help the government more in dealing with tax evasion.
