New Delhi. The Delhi government has taken a big decision to bring down the pollution. Vehicles will not get petrol or diesel at petrol pumps in Delhi without Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate. This rule will come into effect from October 25.
In a press conference, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said on Saturday that the notification related to this decision will be issued soon. The meeting of officials of Environment, Transport and Traffic Departments was held on 29 September. In this discussion was held about the ways to implement this decision. In this it was decided that this rule will be implemented from 25th of this month.
Vehicles will have to have PUC to get fuel from October 25
Smoke emanating from vehicles has a big hand in Delhi’s pollution. Rai said about this that it is very important to stop the pollution from increasing. From October 25, vehicles will have to have PUC to get fuel.
Delhi government to launch 24X7 war room on 3rd October
Rai also said that the Delhi government will launch a 24X7 war room on October 3. Its objective is to prevent pollution from rising and properly implement the Revised Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). He said that anti-dust campaign will also start in Delhi from 6th October. Under this, dust pollution will be checked at the construction sites.
