New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today lay the foundation stone of a ropeway project for the convenience of pilgrims visiting Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib. After the construction of the ropeway, the movement will become easier. The journey to Kedarnath will be only 28 minutes instead of 5-6 hours from Gaurikund. In this way people of all ages can easily visit Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib.

In view of the problems of the devotees, the central government has decided to build a ropeway here. The ropeway construction work will start early next year. From the construction of the ropeway to the start, it will take 3 years.

At present, there are two options to go to Kedarnath, the first can be reached by traveling 7-8 hours on foot and the second is helicopter service. Helicopter service is not easily available due to expensive as well as high demand. Because of this, more devotees reach Kedarnath on foot. For the convenience of the devotees, the Ministry of Road Transport has started work on the construction of the ropeway. It is being manufactured by NHAI’s company NHLML.

NHLML CEO Prakash Gaur says that the process of construction of Kedarnath and Hemkund ropeway is going on very fast under the direction of the Ministry of Road Transport. Due to the hilly terrain, the construction work will take time. The ropeway construction will be completed in three years. In this way, from the year 2026, Kedarnath and Hemkund can be reached by ropeway.

The world’s safest technology will be used for the first time in the country

According to CEO Prakash Gaur, the world’s safest technology will be used in this ropeway for the first time in the country. 3S Tri cable technology will be used. In this, the cable car will run on three wires. This technique has been used in select places in the world.

A Look at Kedarnath Ropeway

The total length of the ropeway is 9.7 km. Will be.
Starting from Gaurikund, it will reach Kedarnath.
There will be a total of four stations
Apart from Kedanath, there will be Gaurikund, Chirvasa and Lintoli stations.
15 towers will be built in the entire project.
