New Delhi. Railway stations and trains are witnessing a manifold increase in the number of passengers during major festivals like Diwali and Chhath Puja. In such a situation, Indian Railways has started many festival special trains for the convenience of the passengers. These trains will be operated temporarily till Diwali and Chhath.
Indian Railways has decided to run festival special trains to control the heavy rush in trains going towards UP and Bihar during Diwali and Chhath. Festival special trains are being run by the Railways on different routes. Its information is being given through the official Twitter account of the zone.
833 festival special additional trains have been planned by Northern Railway for convenient movement of rail passengers. Additional coaches are also being added to many regular trains. You too can take advantage of these services.

Two special trains will run from Jodhpur
Out of the two festival special trains, one Bhagat Ki Kothi-Dehradun Special Rail Sewa (one-way) 04803 will leave from Bhagat Ki Kothi. It will reach Dehradun at 2 pm via Jodhpur, Merta Road, Degana, Makrana, Phulera Jaipur, Bandikui, Alwar, Rewari, Gurgaon, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Tapri, Roorkee, Haridwar. Similarly, Bandra Terminus Festival Rail Service 09093-09094 Express will run from Bandra on 22nd and 29th October and from Bhagat Ki Kothi on 23rd and 30th October. This train will travel for full 24 hours i.e. leaving Bandra at 9.30 am and will reach Bhagat ki Kothi at 9.30 am the next morning. The route of this train will include Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch as well as major stations like Chittorgarh, Ajmer and Marwar of Rajasthan.

Increase coaches in 6 pairs of train services
At the same time, the CPRO of North Western Railway said that in view of the extra passenger traffic for Diwali and Chhath Puja, for the convenience of the passengers, a temporary increase of coaches is being done in 6 pairs of rail services. Under this, temporary increase of one second sleeper class coach is being done in Bikaner-Dadar-Bikaner rail service from Bikaner from 26th to 31st October and from Dadar from 27th October to 1st November. Similarly, coaches of Hisar-Coimbatore-Hisar, Ajmer-Agra Fort-Ajmer, Sri Ganganagar-Bandra Terminus-Sriganganagar, Bikaner-Delhi Sarai-Bikaner and Delhi Sarai-Jodhpur-Delhi Sarai trains are being increased.
How to get confirmed ticket
Railways is giving some special facilities to passengers for confirmed tickets in trains, through which you can get confirmed Tatkal tickets within minutes. For this, you have to pre-write the names of the passengers through the master list feature on the IRCTC app. After this, you will not need to give the details again while booking the ticket. This will save time and increase the chances of getting a confirmed ticket while booking.
