Mumbai. The number of people investing in mutual funds has increased in the country. Over Rs 12,000 crore has been invested in mutual funds in the last 4 months. A large number of people are resorting to Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) to get better returns in the long term through mutual funds. According to the latest data of Association of Mutual Funds in India, the highest ever investment of 12693 crores has come in Mutual Funds through the SIP route.

According to these figures, Systematic Investment Plan has become a good habit of the people for saving. Especially the youth who found it difficult to save money. Youngsters in the age group of 19 to 30 are nowadays preferring to invest through SIP as an investment option.

SIP became the choice of youth
Many youngsters believe that Systematic Investment Plan is a safe and reliable option for investment. Especially in the long term, investing through SIP gives better returns. These youths believe that they do not have understanding related to equity market and shares, so by investing in SIP, good returns can be obtained from the market.

What is SIP?
Systematic Investment Plan, abbreviated as SIP. SIP is a facility offered by mutual funds to investors to invest in a disciplined manner. SIP facility allows an investor to invest a fixed amount in the selected mutual fund scheme at predetermined intervals. It can be invested on weekly/monthly/quarterly/half-yearly or yearly basis.

Explain that in the first five months of the current financial year, the total inflow into mutual funds has been Rs 61,258 crore. In the last financial year 2021-22, the investment through SIP was Rs 1.24 lakh crore. Assets under management under SIPs increased to Rs 6.4 lakh crore in August this year from Rs 5.76 lakh crore in March 2022.
