There is currently no charge for blue ticks on Twitter.
Elon Musk is on the backfoot after criticism of tariff news.
He has sought suggestions on raising the fee to $8 instead of 20.
New Delhi. The co-founder of India’s microblogging platform Koo (Koo) has said a great deal to woo Twitter users towards him. He has said that Ku will not charge Rs 1600 for verification from its users. Along with this, he asked people to come to Ku. Interestingly, he has said this on Twitter.
Indeed, after the completion of the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk, there have been reports that users will now have to pay a monthly fee of $ 19.99 to get blue ticks. This amount is currently around Rs 1650 in Indian currency. However, this move has faced a lot of criticism. Many verified users say that the blue tick is necessary to differentiate between fake accounts and real accounts, it should not be used as a money printing machine by Elon Musk.

Elon Musk is negotiating
After the criticism of this move, now Musk is seen on the backfoot. When American writer Stephen King asked about the news of being charged $ 20 that Twitter should give him money on the contrary, Musk responded immediately. Musk said, “We need some way to pay the bill! Twitter cannot rely solely on advertisers. What about $8?” Musk further wrote in his reply that this is the only way to compete with bots and trolls. Even if Musk charges $8 for having a verification badge, Indians will still have to pay Rs 660 per month. This is more than the monthly subscription of Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Musk to take over as Twitter CEO
Elon Musk has told in a regulatory filing that he will take over as CEO of Twitter. Significantly, as soon as Musk took over the command of Twitter, its CEO Parag Agarwal was the first to run. Apart from this, Musk has also dissolved the board of Twitter and has become its sole director himself. However, he called it a temporary change.
