The price of Kia Carens has been hiked once again.
Earlier in February 2022 also the price of this car was increased.
The price of the car has been increased by up to Rs 50,000.
New Delhi. Kia India has increased the price of its popular MPV Kia Carens. This is the second price hike for this car. Earlier, the company has changed the price of this car in February 2022. This car has been in great demand since its launch.
Kia launched this car in the Indian market in September 2021. At one point of time, it was the car with the longest waiting period in its segment.
Engine and Transmission
The Carens comes with a choice of two petrol powertrains – a 115hp, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit and a 140hp, 1.4-litre turbocharged unit. Both engines are offered with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, but the 1.4-litre unit also gets a 7-speed DCT automatic as an option.

Expensive up to Rs 50,000
A maximum increase of up to Rs 50,000 can be seen in the naturally aspirated manual variant of the MPV. On the other hand, the turbo-petrol manual variant of the Carens gets a hike between Rs 10,000-20,000. Meanwhile, the turbo petrol variant of the Carens with DCT automatic gearbox has seen a similar price hike of Rs 20,000. Overall, petrol-powered Carens now start at Rs.10 lakhs, which goes up to Rs.17.70 lakhs.

The MPV could also be powered by a 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or a torque converter automatic transmission. Kia has increased the prices of the mid-spec luxury manual variant of the Cars by Rs 35,000, while the other manual and automatic variants have seen a similar hike of Rs 30,000. Overall, diesel powered Carens now start at Rs.11.70 lakhs, which goes up to Rs.18 lakhs.
