Although most of the electric cars currently cost more than Rs 10 lakh, but soon many cheap electric cars are going to be launched in the market.

Due to the rising price of petrol and diesel, there is good news for those who want to buy electric cars. Three such electric cars are going to be launched in the Indian market, which will cost around Rs 10 lakh. Here we are telling about 3 cheap electric cars to be launched. This includes the Tata Tiago EV, MG’s affordable electric car and the electrified version of the Citroen C3.

Tata Tiago EV
Tata Motors is going to unveil its cheapest electric car Tiago EV in India on 28 September. It is expected to get a powertrain like the Tigor EV. It packs a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery, which gives a range of 302 on a single charge. The ex-showroom price of the Tata Tiago EV is expected to be around Rs.10 lakh when launched.

MG Motor India has officially confirmed that it will launch an affordable electric car in the first half of 2023. However, the company has not told which will this electric car be. Its price can be between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. MG’s new electric will be smaller than the current ZS EV. It is expected that a range of 250-300 km can be found per charge.

Citroen C3 EV
Citroen India will launch an electric variant of the C3 subcompact SUV in the first quarter of 2023. Expect the price of this affordable electric hatchback to be around Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh ex-showroom. The curtain can be lifted from this in December this year. The Citroen C3 EV is likely to get the same 50 kWh battery pack as the global-spec Peugeot e-208. It can give a range of 300-350 km on a single charge.
