Husband and wife donated generously
Last year, Sushmita Bagchi’s husband Subroto Bagchi gave crores of rupees for the construction of a hospital in Bangalore and for research. This donation was given jointly by Sushmita and Subroto Bagchi and Radha and NS Parthasarathy. Sushmita and Parthasarathy are part of the founding team of Mindtree. This donation was given to the Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc) to build an 800-bed multi-specialty hospital as well as a post-graduate medical college on the campus.

Mindtree owner Subroto Bagchi and his wife Sushmita Bagchi have donated crores of rupees on many occasions for charitable works. In 2021, he announced a donation of Rs 340 crore for the establishment of a cancer hospital in Odisha.
